A cooling breeze

There is nothing better on a hot day than a cooling breeze from an open car window.

Especially when you are out and about on Dartmoor.

At the moment there are lots of fluffy foals

and there are always fluffy sheep hanging around.

Dartmoor is a pretty big place if your don't know where your going.

It seems we are having slight technical problems (what ever they are) at the moment, but we promise we will be right back in the same spot just as soon as we can.

Happy Beach Daze

I had a very happy birthday last Sunday. thank you for all my birthday wishes from all my bloggy friends.

I've been told,  it's been the height of Summer this week... I'm not sure how high the Summer gets but I know we have been on the beach more than normal...
I even met up with my friend Lulu again.

Lulu is the same age as me, but I have to watch her.

She can be a bit pushy. Lulu is an adorable, fun, loving little one year old.

Yesterday I was half way down a hole when I met a  Lulu look a like.

Then on the stroll back home, I was minding my own business

Walking along and I almost missed them.

Two other beach babies just like me
.

Just goes to show, the best place to be seen and meet new friends in the Summer is on the beach.

Freya Rose Blossom - Birthday Girl

It's true, I am a year old......

Here I am at twelve weeks old, on my first real walk into the world...

We have a special day planned tomorrow, the 20th of May is my special day.
My Birthday.

Thought I would show you my badge photo.... THEY MADE ME WEAR IT !

As it's my special day... I can give, it's not all about what you have on your birthday, it's what you can give to someone else to make them smile.. (Definitely a Soggibottom dog)

To all my very special blogger friends.... your all stars to me.
I could award it to special names, but please copy and add it to your own blog if your reading this, your all special stars and precious pebbles on my beach....

Life's a beach

I can look but can't put a paw down on it, this isn't the part of the beach I like best anyway.

This is my part of the beach, right at the end.

It's been stormy this week,  looks like we weren't the only one's to hit the beach.

Yep, this is me... THIS IS MY PART OF THE BEACH....

You are very welcome to share it with me, it's open to everyone down this end.

This is Rosie a new pup around the park.

At 16 weeks old, she's cute and packs a punch...

Pups have so much to learn. Rosie the pup has yet to meet Frankie de tabby.

Water's edge.

There isn't much space to run around when the tide is in.

No matter what space on the beach the sea leaves me, I can always find a place to dig, even on the water's edge.

Just to remind everyone who will be visiting Devon or Cornwall, most of the beaches along the coast now restrict dog paws from certain parts of the beach. There are places where we can still dig go. Best to look out for the signs otherwise it could be a £1,000 fine if your found in places that you shouldn't be.

It's not often we are caught out by the tide, this is our Sunday morning beach walk. Even if the tide is in we stop for coffee, even in the Winter.

There is always a good dish of dogie water to be found here too.

The fresh water also helps to take the sand off your nose if you've been digging.

Dinner al freskie

Ah, smell that Cornish air.

We've been out and about in Cornwall this week... dinner Al freskie,

in a field overlooking Harlyn Bay, in Cornwall.

After the swans and the river Dart during the week, maybe it's best to stick to where I feel more at home...

Cornish slate is just as good as a Devon beach stone...

You just have to remember where your stash is for the next time you visit.

The Swans on the River Dart and Freya Rose Blossom.

We had visitors last weekend. I had plenty of attention. (as if you aren't always the centre of attention)

Mark and Becca know how special they both are to me.

Frankie de tabby is alright, but it's not as if he ever involves himself in after dinner small talk when we have visitors.
Unless it's to ask for something else to eat after he has made his rounds from chair to chair under the table.

Some of us are just natural born conversationalist's. (even though they shouldn't be there and their ears dangle on the table).

Some are born to be cuddle bunnies..

Swans aren't natural conversationalist's or cuddle bunnies as far as I am concerned.

I found that out yesterday on a walk beside the river Dart.

Swans only hiss and aren't very polite.

They only had to hiss once, that was enough for me to know they weren't big seagulls and not to be messed with.  (just as well the camera battery ran out, or it might have shown you up to your ears in mud on the river bank)

The lesson here.... I never chase anything on or out of the river by the river bank, especially if it's bigger than me and not a good conversationalist. (lesson learnt)
