I've had a stiff talking to about snaffling the cat food again.

Now, lets be honest here, if Frankie de tabby left some of it, Frankie de tabby didn't want it.

In this warm weather, best not to leave food hanging around. I hate wasting anything, so yes, I ate the cat food. AGAIN.

This is the fridge, this is the best place to hang around in case anything (like cat food) falls out.

Besides, with all the walking I do I am as thin as a twig.

More shady tips on how to stay cool during the Summer.

Shoving your head out of a car window as you go along enjoying a cooling breeze helps to combat tiring effects of hot weather.

Always best to make sure you are strapped in the car for safety. I haven't got a pair of goggles but if you have 'em, wear 'em.

You can also sit under a shady tree during the heat of the day.

Or, dip your feet in a cooling stream.
If you can't find a stream a bucket of water works just as well, it might be a cleaner option.

Besides you never know what's lurking on the river bank of a stream.

Or, like my friend, young Princess Leah, go for a cup of tea, with cookie if after the heat of the day you have the energy to reach for one.

When temperatures soar, it's always best to take your own shade with you.

What's the best thing about Summer ?

It could be having a lick of the ice lolly stick.

Or, it could be having another lick.

It could be sharing.

The wonderful properties of lake water.

You can always rely on the wonderful smell of lake water to give you back your pre bath aroma.

The problem is, knowing when to seize the right moment.

You don't want to make the mistake of plunging in too soon

Or the mistake of making your choice, then changing your mind at the last minute.

You could choose a clean looking spot of the lake among the trees.

 Or like me, choose the slimiest part of lake, by the weir.

Really churn up the slime with your feet as you climb down.

Cos, if you made it so far, it's a shame to waste your efforts and not churn up the good stuff under the weeds on your way up too. 

After all that churning slime, mud and paddling, best to ask for some help to get back out again.

Lake water has wonderful properties, except it tends to land you back in the bath.

Amazon tidal swamp water found in South West Devon.

The word bath and barf  have different meanings.
One is to barf up stuff you don't want after you have eaten it.... e.g. snails and sand.
The other one is to have soap and water thrown all over you, even if you don't need it.

Not even a little yellow duck.

I don't understand the comment about my bath water looking like Amazon tidal swamp water.
