You never know what you can find in a hole in the sand

I dug this up. Jake and I are wondering what it is......

I never hang around for long, there are too many holes to dig before we leave the beach.

That's it, this is my entry for digging in the bloggy Olympics.....

Jake has his own agenda and made a sand turtle, with a little help from me.... he didn't shift all that sand on his own, yer know !

It's not the winning that counts, it's taking part.
Tomorrow, we can hit the beach and sand again.... holes all over the place, even the moles are envious.

Freya Rose Blossom and Jake.

The games are on and Jake is staying with me for at least two whole weeks.

We've been to the top of a barrow near Stonehenge.

Visited a castle in Totnes.

Visited the beach.

We've shared a tent.

I have my own tent on the beach, but sharing Jake's was fun.

We've seen boating dogs.

Admired beach views.

Thrown a few stones.

Best of all, we've dug some great holes on the beach.

Let the games begin.

The edge

I'm not always on the beach no matter what everyone thinks.

There are times I go for a walk around the lake.

I'm not allowed to dig holes around the lake and would prefer to be on the beach.

Here I can really dig for England.

The secret is to get your nose right in the digging hole. But shh, that's a secret.

When you have a feeling that someone is sneaking up on you, your probably right.

You have to have an edge and mine is my nose.

Or a particular stone.

Frank's edge, are his claws.

Travelling and spreading the word about the Blogville Olympics and meeting the RNLI

Just as the Olympic Torch has been travelling around England, I have been making sure the message of the Blogville Olympics has travelled along Devon's beaches. The torch is back in the South West tonight in Weymouth.in Dorset. I am working hard spreading the word about our Olympic's.

I met a couple from The RNLI  Royal National Lifeboat Institute
These cool dudes are a couple of lifeguards that help to keep beach users in the Summer months safe.

They were so pleased to see me  I made sure that we had a group photo of us altogether. I wondered if another entry to the Olympics had got there before me, or the word had spread I was going to visit.

I had at least two beaches to go to today so I couldn't hang around for long.

This is Burgh Island, we had to wait till the tide was out and the rain stopped before we got out of the car.

Don't forget, a dog that travels behind the back seat near the tailgate is taken places, the one that sits on the back seat is chauffeured.
Brown paper to sit on, does work if you have a queasy tummy by the way, my brown paper is a bit screwed up as I have been in and out so many times today. Note for my chauffeur to change it when we get home.

Now on to more pressing things of trying out the sand.

Yep..... good stuff, it flies like the wind.

I had to make sure that there were a few holes to test the sand in different places.

Another beach tomorrow, I wonder if I can get my own security guard ?

With a pink and black uniform.

Obviously wearing a Union Jack .

Freya Rose Blossom and Frankie de tabby are a double act. They make us laugh every minute of the day. A year ago, we never thought we would smile again after Amie Soto Blossom and Mew took their place under the apple tree in our garden. Here is a link to SUE and her beautiful pack... Sue will make you laugh and cry at the same time. Luvs :-) X X X
