Shoving your head out of a car window as you go along enjoying a cooling breeze helps to combat tiring effects of hot weather.
Always best to make sure you are strapped in the car for safety. I haven't got a pair of goggles but if you have 'em, wear 'em.
You can also sit under a shady tree during the heat of the day.
Or, dip your feet in a cooling stream.
If you can't find a stream a bucket of water works just as well, it might be a cleaner option.
Besides you never know what's lurking on the river bank of a stream.
Or, like my friend, young Princess Leah, go for a cup of tea, with cookie if after the heat of the day you have the energy to reach for one.

Oh those are some great tips Freya,xx Speedy
ReplyDeleteGood tips there Freya. Polly particularly liked the sound of the cuppa and a cookie:)
ReplyDeleteThose are more great tips. We would like the cookie to keep cool please!
ReplyDeleteClassic wave to the fans, car photo op! Forget the pups, I want the cookie and tea
ReplyDeleteA cuppa and a cake sounds good to us. Have a serene Sunday. Get some big easy in today.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Great idea. Daisy LOVED to ride with her head out the window and so does Roxy. Bella sits on the floor behind the passenger seat and Macdui is still in his carrier crate. But we love going to the river.
ReplyDeleteMostly in HOT weather, we hibernate in the airconditioning.
XXXOOO Bella Roxy & dui
We love sticking our noses out the car window. It's very cooling! Great tips, Freya!

There's another thing you could do. Take a horrendous bath and make mom feel guilty. Demand some ice cream and sleep in front of the air con.
ReplyDeleteYou can't beat a nice cup of tea and a biscuit in the hot weather, although a ice cream would be good as well.
ReplyDeleteLove and licky kisses
Princess Leah
sure looks like fun but ask for ice cream too
