You would never think to look at it but in the hills above me are copper mines. Here I am on the side of the river Tamar at a place called Morwellham Quay. It's a living history museum.
Not that I'm great on history, I only know that there are fun places and this is a fun place to be.
THEY LET ME IN. There are no signs saying NO DOGS... GREAT !
There are 19th century cottages to explore. No signs saying no dogs on the bed. Well someone had to make sure there were good views from the window.
Great views and gardens to explore.
A boat to climb aboard.
There was even a train that went down a copper mine.
That's me.
Had a great time, even kissed a pig.
Had a bit of a stand off with a goat.
I'm joining in with a blog hop over at Waggy Tales.. I am one of the lucky one's that never have a problem when I'm left alone. I'm not often left on my own anyway. Peeps go places, I go places, even down a copper mine. I have to go cos, they get lonely without me.
You can find out more about Morwellham Quay over at Soggibottom.
Ended up with tea in one of the cottages, wonder when we can go again.
Promise, I never broke my diet, I looked but didn't touch.

At first were scared that a Cavalier was found abandoned in a mine. We're so glad that didn't happen. We're impressed that you got to go into lots of places...even on that bed! We are definitely discriminated against here.
ReplyDeleteHope you got some of that scone!
Nope, not a crumb, but hey guys, they weren't real one's anyway. If they had been real tasty one's, I would have snaffled 'em before anyone could take a snap. Luv's Freya Rose Blossom x
ReplyDeleteHow was kissing a pig?
ReplyDeleteWe can NOT believe they didn't even give you a crumb....oh wow, glad you didn't fall off that boat......and pigs, goat and a trip in a mine....you sure get around Freya!

Of course your peeps would miss you Freya,,, In fact your peeps have told my peeps that! Isn't it wonderful that there were no signs saying you couldn't go?
ReplyDeleteAnd no sign that said don't jump on the bed!!
I think those are the bestest places to visit,,,, and especially a mine!
Good job on keeping up with your diet!

Thanks for the tour - so interesting!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like super fun. We'd love to go there. Around here dogs aren't allowed most places. So if we can't go, Mom doesn't go either. She stays home with us.
ReplyDeleteLucky you Freya:) I've never been in a copper mine.
ReplyDeleteWell everyone has said most of what I would have said - but you can tie her up - leave her alone - and she doesn't get in trouble - very impressive.

That looks like a fun day! Hooman has been to the copper mines at Alderley Edge many years ago which were amazing - where The Weirdstone of Brisingamen was based on. They have wizard tea parties down in the mines :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the e-card! So pawsome of you! We loved the picture of you in this post of you kissing the pig. Brought smiles to Mommy's face!
ReplyDeleteI am new to your blog, but I LOVED this tour!
