The collar of shame.

This week had nothing to do with me, just like everyone to know......
I kept both eye's open and watched the mutt to make sure she was okay.

What ever she had been up to gave her wobbly legs and made her sleep all afternoon.

The next day it was all about the collar of shame that she should have worn

I had a good sniff at it though....

It's in such pristine condition, I would hate to make it dirty.

It's been a strange week. I can't remember the last few days very well.

We were out again today.

Must admit I wondered where we were going.

We ended up visiting that nice Mr Vet again.  We were here on Tuesday, or was it Wednesday ?

I have the all clear. My figure is safe and I am going to make sure that I will make the most of being the only pup around the cottage. Mr vet even gave me a heart check, I have the all clear on that too.

I still won't be able to go to the beach for a week or two, but guess what Frank.........

The mutt is back !

Thank you for all your good wishes this week as you can see, she's back and on the way to recovery. Can't keep a good digging dog down. :-) xxx

Stash the stones

I have to make the most of my time on the beach today.

Tomorrow morning at nine thirty sharp I have to go and see that nice Mr Vet.

I only have a short time to shift the stones around.

Or I could dig a large hole and hide.

My mum and dad say there is only room for one pup around the cottage.
Having pups would spoilt my figure anyway.
I'll let you know how it goes............ it might be a few days until I get back here, but at least I know I have stashed my stones and they are hidden well..........

Five minute sketch

I've been out and about this week and we have been so busy, even had a sketch drawn of me, I never stood still either.
It really did take Karina less than five minutes.........  How does she do that ?

At least it doesn't show the dirty face I came back with today.

This is the clean bit. Waiting outside of a shop in Padstow in Cornwall.

I have been told, I need a bucket attached to my collar to collect sand.

But then it would get in the way of my cave explorations

I'm not called "no fear Freya" for nothing.

 It's been a long day.......

Karina did capture my profile rather well though, dirty face or not........

Frankie de tabby stayed at home today, as you know, he hates sand in his claws.............

Visitors always need a good welcome

We had visitors yesterday.

I made sure Mark had a good licking as he came through the door.

Then I got tickled.

Karina is staying for a whole week.

Today on the beach I made sure I showed off my digging skills.

A really large hole.

For a really large hole, you have to put your whole nose into the job.

She really should stop showing off and stick to the normal bone chewing routine.

Diamonds or Diamante

I had to have a new collar tag today.

It's all that digging on the beach. The sand has worn away the name on my old tag.

I've been looking at the designer range, for mogs and dogs. Diamonds or Diamante ?

No, I have a plain little tag that is going withstand the rigours of the beach. No diamante for me...
Going back through town, a two legged horse with sun glasses, wearing a blue t-shirt kept trying to catch my attention.

What's a girl to do, you know how much I love ponies and horses.

Just goes to show you. You don't need diamonds and diamante to glitter and glow.

Husky in Totnes

We were out and about again this week, first we had to stop by to visit Bessie and Storm.

I thought Storm was getting in.

We got as far as nose to nose to say hello, Storm and Bessie also went off with a few of my car cookies.
They are both hard working farm dogs, so they were welcome to them. I have plenty more stashed under my car seat, no one knows they are there.

We saw a horse, no, they wouldn't let me have this one either.

We went shopping.

I had to play at being a Husky dog, leading up the hill helping to pull up two who were lagging behind.

There really was a reindeer fur in one of the shops at the top of the hill.

I think it would have looked better on the reindeer.
That's it. No more playing at being a Husky dog for me.

Digging at Dawlish

Just like to say, owing to a report from Soggibottom that I dribble in the car, I haven't dribbled today when we went to the beach.

I have however been leaning into the bend as we go around a corner.

Not that many straight roads around here, so I think this is a trick I have picked up quickly. Why there are so many giggles coming from the front of the car ?

The tide is way out because there is a full moon.

This means that there is more sand and beach to run around and dig in.

Just so you can experience the flying sand I even have a video.
STAND BACK, FLYING SAND COMING.

After a bit of meeting and greeting.

Exploring a few rock pools.

We had to go home.

I still don't know what all the snickering and giggling from the front of the car is about.
I'll dry out by the time we get home and I don't have to get the sand out of the car...........
