Donkey Management Course at Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary in Devon

Who really wants to get out of a warm bed and go out into the cold on a frosty morning ?

True to their word I had my very own Donkey Management course at Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary in Devon.

Making friends with a donkey is fine, but you can go a bit too far, for nose to nose contact inside the donkey's own space I lost a point from my score card.

This is the way it should be done, I gained back the point I had lost.

Lost a point again for having my nose right down a donkey's nostril.

It was so cold, most donkey's had their coats on or were inside the big barn.
You can see inside too, by visiting the barn web cam right HERE

I learnt to give donkey's their own space.

You can't go straight up to any donkey and give it a nose to nose kiss.

Or it gives you red eye's....

We brought the little blue donkey back with us, if you head on over to Soggibottom just HERE you have a chance to give it a hug too. Make sure Soggibottom know's you follow me in and out of the cat flap.

  5. As we said over on soggibottom, those donkeys are so clean and look so well cared for. But we wonder why they are allowed to put their snooter through the fence and you can't?

  9. Hi Freya
I am glad that you were careful and not let the donkeys nip you or strike at you. Donkeys can be very fast- but I see that you are wise!
The donkeys all look so happy.

  11. Freya, now that you have graduated from your part of Donkey Management, you can tell Frankie all about it. He might not seem impressed, but I'm sure deep down inside he is. You're a brave little soul and now you have lots of donkey friends too!
